The 132-S-900.7 exam is Avaya's gatekeeper for the Avaya-Certification certification, a credential at the Elective / Specialist level. Passing it says you can apply the Avaya IP Telephony Design Elective objectives to real problems — a claim employers can act on. It also sits within a broader certification family covering Avaya IP Telephony Design Elective (132-S-900), Specialist: Avaya Voice Self-Service Design Elective (132-S-708.1), Specialist: Avaya Proactive Contact Solutions Design Elective (132-S-712.2), so the work you put in here compounds. Easier said than earned — which is exactly why structured practice beats self-directed wandering.

The Avaya IP Telephony Design Elective blueprint spans 3 domains, led by Avaya Aura Architecture and Components, Contact Center and Additional Solutions Design, and Network and IP Telephony Design Considerations. Read the weightings as marching orders: the domain with the largest share of the score gets the largest share of your week. The full topic list is in the exam topics section above — study to it, not around it.

The Avaya IP Telephony Design Elective exam packs 52 questions into 90 minutes. Convert that into a personal tempo before test day: minutes divided by questions is your per-item budget, and anything burning double its budget gets flagged and revisited at the end. Rehearse the tempo against a live timer — every Prep4away engine session enforces one — until finishing with review time to spare feels normal.

Avaya IP Telephony Design Elective requires 68% to pass, and each attempt costs USD 125 — including retakes, at full price. The financially sane strategy is arriving over-prepared: drill with Prep4away practice questions until your timed scores clear the mark across several consecutive sessions, then register. Over-preparation is cheaper than re-registration.

Avaya lists the Avaya IP Telephony Design Elective question formats as: Multiple Choice. Formats shape tactics — locate the actual question sentence inside long scenario stems before reading the rest, and re-verify every selection on multi-answer items. Prep4away's 77 practice questions drill these formats until only the content feels new on exam day.

The 132-S-900.7 exam is offered in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese. Choose the language where your comprehension stays fastest under the clock — slow reading is a hidden tax on every question. If you test in English, daily sessions with Prep4away's English 132-S-900.7 practice questions double as vocabulary training.

All three versions carry the same 77 expert-written questions — you're choosing a study environment, not a content tier:

• Desktop Test Engine — Windows software simulating the real exam environment, with two practice modes, offline access, and unlimited installations.

Most candidates end up mixing formats — PDF for reading, an engine for timed rehearsal.
